The Dayton ISD Board of Trustees consist of seven members and are elected by position.  The general election of Board members will be on the May uniform election date.  Board members are elected for three-year terms, with elections conducted annually, as follow;

Position 3 and 4 – election will be held in 2020, 2023, 2026 and in three year intervals thereafter.  Position 5,6, and 7 – election will be held in 2021, 2024, 2027 and in three year intervals thereafter.  Positions 1 and 3 – election will be held in 2022, 2025, 2028 and in three year intervals thereafter.  

The date of the Dayton ISD’s next School Board Election is:    Saturday, May 2, 2020

• First day to file for a place on the general election ballot – Wednesday, January 15, 2020
• Last day to file for a a place on the general elcetion ballot – February 14, 2020 at 5:00p.m.
• Early voting Starts – Monday, April 20, 2020
• Early Voting Ends – Tuesday, April 28, 2020
• Physical address for filing application in person for a place on the ballot: Dayton ISD Will O. Moore Administration Building, 100 Cherry Creek, Dayton, Texas 77535
• Filing Authority – Kim Lambright, Executive Assistant to the Superintendent
